Monkey Mud

A personal favorite of mine.  My mom would always make it in December, it was one of the things that made it regularly into our goodie tins for friends and family at Christmas time.  I could never get enough of it :)



(1) 24 oz bag- Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
(1) 24 oz bag - Butterscotch Chips
(1) 24 oz jar - Salted Dry Roasted Peanuts


1. In a medium size mixing bowl combine the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips, melting them in the microwave for 1 minute, remove and stir and place back in the microwave for another 30 seconds.  Repeat this until the chips mix together into a creamy texture.

2. Pour jar of peanuts into bowl with chocolate/butterscotch and mix well coating evenly.

3. Spread into a cookie sheet lined with wax paper and let set, place in freezer for faster set up or just let air dry.

4. Remove from cookie sheet when it's hardened and break into snack size pieces, store in refrigerator.
